Could it be? Could it be he's finally getting the fever?
Is it all really a matter of time? That the ardor for the swizzled up and strung up string is catching? Just today, I spotted Girlfriend looping a few lengths of Blue Sky Cotton in Indigo through the loop of Chuck's collar. I thought she'd try to drag him around with it. Instead, she just kept looping it and saying, "isn't this nice, Chuck-a-boy?"
Or are they just trying to butter me up so I will lay down my knitting for a few seconds or maybe a dinner, or maybe a dinner and some ice cream or something like that?
My family. I wonder when they'll have enough of it and leave me or if they'll just become Yarn Zombies like me and turn me off of the stuff by acting like crazy-me in front of me and, well,..making me see into the light of things. (me me me me)
Meantime, I'm thinking up a small project for my In-Between-Big-Project Time. This yarn will be socks. The little hank in the center is for contrasting heels and toes. Just call up my gal at Posh and she'll custom dye the stuff for you (it's cashmere). For what you get in return, it's all a steal, but I could be wrong and just in lust, instead.
But let me tell you, if you really squint your eyes and think back, think back about the days when you were maybe just a hundred and something pounds or more or less, and that one boy or girl who had all the flash and all the sass; think about how all you wanted and dreamed to do was just hold their hand for a split second, but instead, they looked deep into your eyes, and stole a kiss right before the tardy bell...
...yarn. It surprises me sometimes in the most delightful way.
